For the Health of It
On Wednesday 10 June 2015 the Baltimore City Detention Center held
its 14th annual Wellness Fair and we were near current capacity for
space. We had about 90 vendors. Next year it will be even
better. I am already looking for new vendors.
Less than a week before the event I attended a meeting of the
Baltimore Regional Transportation Board and noticed the name plate
of a woman. So I told her about the Wellness Fair and she
immediately signed up and suggested that I talk to the
administrative assistant and she took an application and got back to
me.
As usually we had blood pressure reading. Rusana picked me up
after working all night and took me to the Wellness Fair and stayed
for a few hours and did blood pressure screening.
As usually, the Great Blacks in Wax Museum brought one of the
statues and, as always, it looks so real that we almost talked to
it. If you answer one of the questions correctly, they will
give you a ticket for one free admission. I answered them
correctly three years in a row and I really know almost nothing
about black history. |

This looks so real that we keep wondering why she is just standing
there. |
