Mercy Hospital
When my neighbor Butch was in the hospital, I Went to visit him.
Before going to Mercy Hospital, I was downtown, probably at
an MTA meeting. I noticed that some stores were labeled for
demolition and I wanted to get the photos before it is too late.
When I went to the hospital, I knew where Butch lived, but I did not
know his name and his grandson was not able to tell me. But
Security was able to help me with the information that I did.
When I arrived, they were doing a procedure and I waited an hour and
a half and finally went back to see if they had finished. By
this time he was sleeping and I did not want to awaken him. He
was released a few days later. I saw him one time after his
release and then he went to his permanent home. May his memory
be eternal.
While waiting for a nurse to come to tell me that they are finished,
I had an opportunity to talk with a family who also had a patient
there. It was a very enjoyable and fruitful visit.
The truth of the matter is that I hate going to hospitals to visit
people, but every time I do, I receive blessings upon
blessings. As a clergy I also have opportunities to ministers
to others. This in itself is a big blessing.
While waiting for Butch, I noticed the beautiful view from the
hospital. I wish that I had reasons to go there at different
times of the year. |
