2017 Russian Bazaar - Sunday
Helping at the 2017 Russian Bazaar at St. Nicholas Cathedral was a real blessing for me. The people were wonderful. I was fully at home. But then, St. Nicholas Cathedral has been my home since 1982.I was really overwhelmed by the love shown to me by my fellow clergy, brothers, and sisters. Many complemented me on my serving and on my Slavonic. Many people who did not know me were probably surprised at my Russian.
My one concern was getting home at the end of the day. Last year I was at the bus stop in plenty of time but the bus just flew pass me and I had to take a cab to catch the last train out of Washington. A man who was at the Bazaar gave me most of the cab fare. But this year Irakli took me straight home.
