Triple Birthday
Last century I was an active participant in the St. Maximos
Society's meetings. While participating in the meetings I met a
wonderful couple, Bob and Mary.I was still living in Mount Vernon at
the time.
One Saturday morning I wanted to go out for breakfast and I went to
a local restaurant. I think that I went there instead of Never
On Sunday because I was meeting with somebody else also. I saw
Bob and Mary and after I finished eating, I went over to say hello
to them and they invited me to join them whenever I wish on Saturday
morning. So this became a part of my weekly routine.
The restaurant where we used to meet closed down for a year and when
it reopened, we were not interested in going back there since we are
not politically correct. So we went to Never On Sunday. I
stopped going, especially after I moved from Seton Hill. Never
On Sunday also stopped opening early. Thus, our group just
drifted apart. Two of our staunch members fell asleep in the
Lord and another member also fell asleep.
Thus, we no longer meet as frequently, bu we do get together
occasionally and have a great time. So we got together here to be
with the group and catch up on news. I shared with the group my
being awarded the right to wear the double orarion.
We often have fruitful theological discussions. Yes, we do disagree
on some issues, but basically we are in agreement. |
