Georgian Hierarchal Divine Liturgy
My experience with Georgian people have been fantastic. It was really a blessing serving with His Grace Bishop SAVA.Fr. Pavel arranged for a wonderful family to pick me up at my house. They were actually early, which was fine with me.
We arrived in plenty of time and I vested. Fr. Pavel also handed me the blue and the gold oraria which a family in his parish donated to me. My vestments matched the altar servers and my orarion matched the bishop's. It was not intended!
The Liturgy was mainly in Georgian. I did the Little Litanies in Slavonic and English and the Lord's Prayer in English.
After the Liturgy we had an Unction service and we each were anointed seven times. This was a new experience for me.
After the serviced, we enjoyed typical Georgian hospitality, which is nothing less than fantastic. Then the family took me home and asked to have their picture taken with me in front of my house.
